The Australian Children's Music Foundation runs a variety of creative events to increase the profile of the Foundation and raise much needed funds to provide music equipment and tuition to children in disadvantaged areas and Juvenile Justice Centres.

A great way to support the Foundation is to come along to one of our events. More events will be added when confirmed so watch this space!

Music for Children Ball,
Saturday 19 July, 2008
Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney

The date for the 2008 ACMF 'Music Children Ball’ has been set! This year’s Ball is being held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Saturday 19th July, 2008. Fine food, wine and first class entertainment await you so don’t delay!

Last year’s Ball was an absolute sellout, raising over $200,000 for the Foundation to continue and further develop the great programs for Australian children and youth, particularly the disadvantaged and Indigenous.

Tables for a party of 10 are available for $2,950. Tables are limited and sold out very quickly last year so act quickly to secure a table at what will be a very memorable evening. Donations are also most welcome in the form of prizes that we can auction at the event.

For more information, please contact our office on 02 9929 0008 or contact@acmf.com.au

VIP Backstage Pass
Friday 4 April 2008
Royal Hall of Industries,
Moore Park, Sydney

Music unites and inspires as S3 Song Summit.

The ACMF invited students 15-18 years old to attend the 'Backstage Pass'

part of APRA's inaugural Song Summit Sydney - S3 event held at the Royal

Hall of Industries, Moore Park on April 4.

Positions were limited and 80 students from various backgrounds attended

through the assistance of the ACMF.  The majority were from across NSW, but

students travelled from Victoria, South Australia and Queensland to take

part.

It was extremely well received by the attendees, who experienced the unique

opportunity to attend master classes in their chosen musical field with professional musicians:

Pete Northcote - guitar; Patrick Matthews from Youth Group and Victor Rounds - Bass guitar;

Rai Thistlethwayte from Thirsty Merc and Jerry Craib from Blue Juice - keyboards; Erana Clark, the voice coach from Australian Idol - vocals; Allan Caswell - songwriting; Kere Buchanan and Abraham Rounds - Drums.

Sandi Thom opened the session with a presentation and performance, followed by the music clinics, which went for a couple of hours. Selected students from each musical genre then came together to perform their rendition of 'What About Me', recorded by AIM and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Their performance was brilliant, particularly considering the limited time available for total strangers to come together to form a band.
