About Us

Can you imagine a world without music?

Have you ever met anyone who doesn’t love music? Anyone who isn’t moved by music?

Some say love is the universal language. It isn't. Many people never experience love. Music is the universal language, the one medium that can transcend all boundaries, awaken the imagination and bring great joy.

What better way is there to connect and engage with people other than music? Music brings comfort, joy and is vital food for the imagination and spirit.

That is why, in 2002, I established the ACMF to use the power and emotion of music to help children and youth, particularly the disadvantaged and Indigenous, to look at the world in a different and positive way.

Even I under-estimated how powerful music is in connecting with the disengaged and making them feel that they belong.

I have been overwhelmed by the outstanding results and the growth of the ACMF in just a few short years. Our Initiatives are now established throughout Australia in Juvenile Justice Centres, schools and Indigenous communities.

None of this would have been possible without the wonderful ACMF team and the funding support we have received from our contributors, Government, corporate and private.

I want to thank everyone who has been a part of our success. However, we have only scratched the surface.

I welcome anyone who would like to join us. There is much to be achieved. Please help us if you can.
